Born in El Centro and raised in Huron, I grew up in the heart of California’s agricultural communities, working alongside my family in the fields and later in factories, real estate, the IRS, and as an entrepreneur. But I’ve also witnessed California’s decline—skyrocketing gas prices that strain family budgets, homelessness tearing at our cities, and water shortages threatening our farms and safety. These challenges aren’t just statistics; they’re the daily struggles of middle-class families like yours, yearning for a state that works for them again.
My goal is clear: Restore California, Rebuilding Together. This isn’t about partisan promises—it’s about action. As your Governor, I’ll start by immediately reducing the gas tax by the maximum feasible amount to ease the burden on your wallet. We’ll tackle the homelessness crisis with practical, compassionate solutions, ensuring no Californian is left behind. We’ll secure a sustainable water supply to protect our communities from drought and wildfires, and we’ll prioritize repaving our crumbling roads to make travel safe and reliable. California’s future depends on reviving our agricultural heartland, restoring our state as the breadbasket of the world by listening to and supporting our farmers.
